Except the beautiful Mountain and beach, night market is also a place you must visit. Every city in Taiwan have there own night market, the food at night markets in different region will also be different.
Taipei-Shilin night market
This is the most famous night market for visitors but not for local residence. It is big and have many different food, but the price here is bit higher than other.
The most popularly recommended food is Oyster Omelet, pronounced by everyone in Taiwanese as é ā jiān.The dish consists of an omelet with a filling primarily composed of small oysters. Starch is mixed into the egg batter, giving the resulting egg wrap a thicker consistency. Pork lard is often used to fry the omelet. Depending on regional variation, a savoury sauce may then be poured on top of the omelet for added taste. Spicy or chili sauce mixed with lime juice is often added to provide an intense taste.
Tainan city- Ta Tung, Wusheng and Garden Night Market.
Tainan is not only the ancient capital but also today still considered the food capital of Taiwan. One of the best things to do in Tainan is to eat, and the best way to experience Tainan-style Taiwanese street foods is through its night markets. In Tainan city there have 3 biggest night market and they all opened in different day.
To remember which night market is when, there’s a well-known local Tainan saying “大大武花大花花” (Da-Da-Wu-Hua-Da-Hua-Hua). It means Monday, Tuesday and Friday are for 大 (Ta-Tung Night Market), Wednesday is for 武 (Wusheng Night Market), and Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are for 花 (Garden Night Market).
